generate_barcodeEncode a value into any of 35 barcode and QR symbologies and return the rendered image. Supports QR Code, Data Matrix, PDF417, Aztec, EAN-13, UPC-A, Code 128/39/93, ITF-14 and more. Returns SVG markup by default (or a data: URI when asked), plus a link to the online generator pre-filled with the same value. Use "type" with the canonical name from list_barcode_types; common spellings like "qr" or "

list_barcode_typesList every symbology this server can generate (35 formats), grouped by family, with a one-line summary and sample data for each. Call this first when you are unsure which "type" to pass to generate_barcode. Optionally narrow by family (e.g. "EAN / UPC", "2D Barcodes") or category ("linear", "stacked", "2d").
params: family, category
get_barcode_typeReturn the full technical reference for one symbology: character set, data length, check digit rules, X-dimension and quiet-zone guidance, print ratio, magnification, governing standard, inventor and year, typical applications, FAQ, and related formats. Use this to pick a format for a requirement, or to find out why generate_barcode rejected a value.

Entries describe changes in tool definitions. They are not statements about a server, its quality or its author. The grade measures how the tool definitions fit model providers (token cost, schema compatibility, confusable names) as scored by the ToolFit engine at the time of the listing. JSON: append .json.
